The Purpose of a Margarita

What is the purpose of a margarita? Yesterday I bought a 1.75 L bottle of 1800 Ultimate Black Cherry Margarita mix. A mouthwatering ready-to-serve margarita made with real tequila and extract of lime.

I salted the rim of the glass and poured the mix over ice and sat outside in the shade to enjoy my drink. Unfortunately, that was the only margarita I got out of the entire bottle before being forced to throw the rest away. The next morning I was accused of being a delusional alcoholic that wandered around vacuuming drunk. After one margarita. It turned out I had also drank a couple of beers every once and awhile in the past, and that the empty cans had been discovered in the recycling.

My favorite beer is Sam Adams Summer Ale ~ brewed with lemon zest and grains of paradise, but here in Fort Collins, I usually buy Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze and occasionally other wheat ales. I also smoke marijuana regularly.

Fortunately, none of this makes me an addict or an alcoholic of any kind. So when someone walks up to you and asks you why you’re drinking a beer or enjoying a Margarita, be sure and explain yourself as much as possible, so that you’re not accused of being a delusional alcoholic.
