Earth is a planet of life. This world we call home is teeming with all kinds of living things, from birds and insects, to fish, flowers and trees. Looking down by the roadside, you can see plants boldly pushing up from cracks in the concrete. And in every country in the world, there are girls and boys growing energetically.

~ Messages from Our Brilliant Planet ~

In the course of my [Daisaku Ikeda] travels, I have always made time for one activity: photography. Taking photos has been my way of bringing joy to my friends hard at work in Japan, enabling them to feel as if they, too, had traveled with me. Sharing pictures of beautiful landscapes with people from other countries has also been a way to deepen our friendship through enjoying these breathtaking views together.

Photography is the magic of light ~ it can capture the present moment forever. Each picture is a window of the heart, which, when opened, allows us to go to any country in the world. My dear girls and boys, from these windows of light, let’s start on a journey around the world! Come, let’s listen closely to the pictures of flowers and plants, mountains and oceans, houses and towns, parks and harbors, that are shining so vibrantly on this planet of life, and see what messages they have to offer.
